Most mental illnesses develop or become evident in some form between adolescence and age 30. This results in enormous costs to the individual and society, especially when associated with depression, anxiety and alcohol dependence. These illnesses can co-exist or manifest as physical conditions, eg pain. The Raine Mental health group are looking at patterns in the Raine Cohort. Information on biological, psychological characteristics of participants in the Raine Study will be used to identify pathways to healthy and adverse mental health outcomes.
