Funding of the Raine Study
Funding for the core management is provided by the University of Western Australia, Curtin University, The Telethon Kids Institute, Raine Medical Research Foundation, UWA Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, Women and Infants Research Foundation and Edith Cowan University. Funding for new data collection and analysis is acquired by investigators from research agencies such as the National Health and Medical Research Council.
Since the inception of the Raine Study in 1989, more than $26M has been invested in the Raine Study. This funding has been received from more than 60 successful grant applications from over 20 funding bodies. The largest sums of funding for the Raine Study have come from the NH&MRC whilst other sources of funding include; the Raine Medical Research Foundation, Healthway, Canadian Institutes for Health Research, Asthma Foundation, Telstra Foundation, Australian Arthritis Foundation, ADA Bartholomew Medical Research Trust, Rotary Health and SafeWork Australia.
